The ongoing work consists of blue working clothes repaired by hand, quilts made from recycled blue fabrics, and a series of workshops in which participants combine socializing with repairing their clothes by hand.
The stitching was done incrementally, during meetings, workshops, rest, or whenever repairs were urgent.
The name Bleu De Travail comes from the French expression for blue working garments and has similar expressions and connotations in different languages, such as blue-collar, Lánling, sinikaulustyöntekijä, blåställ, blåkläder, and Blaumann.
